Just saw this! Surprised it isn’t getting as much Oscar buzz. Editing was really good!

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I've always enjoyed Aaron Sorkin's work and this is classic Sorkin. Idris Elba absolutely shined, as did Jessica Chastain, the dialogue was witty and fast-paced and the direction was stylish. The only problem I had with it was that I saw "I, Tonya" first, and it was difficult for me to stop comparing them because they are in many respects similar. I loved "I, Tonya" and can't wait for Chris's review of it, and for me it the better film of the two. Jessica Chastain was great like I said, but I couldn't stop thinking that Margot Robbie was better in "I, Tonya" playing a relatively similar role. The same goes for the fantastic scene you mentioned between Molly and her father towards the end, which was an emotional scene, but for me less so than the scene between Tonya and her mother towards the end of "I, Tonya". They're very similar movies, both very good and worth seeing, but "Molly's Game" was somewhat overshadowed by "I, Tonya" in my opinion. I know it's probably not fair to judge a movie by how it compares to another, but that was just my experience watching it.

Some of the narration that annoyed me was when Molly was telling us mundane things that we’re literally happening on the screen. Why does she need to tell us that she’s putting a food dish on a counter when we’re already witnessing it?

Jessica Chastain made me realize I have a huge weakness for redheads. God bless that woman

I didn't care for this movie. Saw it last night. The snappy repartee Sorkin is known for started to feel like one long Gilmore Girls episode about halfway through, and Chastain (who I usually enjoy) has no likeability at all in the role, which makes a movie that is like 75% her narrating what happens pretty boring. Sorkin is a talented writer, but I don't think this one is written especially well. The dialogue feels like a very well rehearsed dance or fencing match. It doesn't ring true, and nobody talks like this.

i think its a real testament to Sorkins writing that when the first part of the movie was all about skiing i completely forgot about the poker stuff i went to go ans see and just wanted to learn more and more about skiing

Nice review but to short I thought the woman who played Molly I thought she played the movie very well but I like her other creator in another movie when she's mean I felt like there was something missing in the movie maybe as the movie was to long or because she was dealing with the cards and the chips it would have been nice if it was a little bit like movie ocean 11 bit of a twist but it was ok I'll give it 7 out of 10 I think the bit that was quite uncomfortable to watch is when she was attacked the hotel she should have had a security guard at her door if you have in that kind of money in it safe and jewellery she's very stupid of her answering the door

DUDE! I LOVE YOU. PLEASE REVIEW Road to Perdition (2002). I think it's one of the best movies I have ever watched. It's a Tom Hanks movie and I really love that man. He was perfect on the movie. It's an emotional journey also. I think you have already watched it. Please let me know your thoughts.
