Someone please tell me where I can watch this? Huge Ghibli and anime fan and it isn't in any cinemas or stores near me and can't find it anywhere online. I need to watch this movie! Lol

"[...] it's just sort of this fun new thing she has where she can do these things for a night and they go away."

Been wanting to check this one out after me and my housemate finish our chronological watch through of all the Ghibli movies, at least I know to go into this one with lowered expectations.

I’m just glad someone is still doing hand drawn animated films, to much cgi animated kids films I don’t want to watch since the design is just not appealing.

I totally agree with this one
It’s not wow it’s just ok for me but the art work still stunning

Hey Chris! I've heard you say that you're a big fan of animation but I noticed that you only review American and Japanese productions so could you please review Loving Vincent or some of Cartoon Saloon's movies like Song of the Sea for example? Thanks!

It sounds like without the retired director, the new studio doesn’t know how to give their characters growth

REACT TO NARUTO. Its world and story has SO much depth and it builds up well throughout the series. And the final villain really puts together the purpose of all the other villains and arcs.

So strong start but weak ending? May give this new Studio Ghibli a chance of creating bigger films than their 1st debut film hehe!

The plot was so weak. Honestly this movie just felt like an excuse for the animators to show off and go look we used to animate for ghibli! I wasn't even that impressed by the world design. It should've been breathtaking but it just felt underwhelming and close to ripping off past movies. I almost walked out of the theatre when they had her climbing the stone stairs clinging to the wall. Yeah we remember when you animated that in spirited away.

I want a movie that explores the opening scene not the garage we received.

Please consider a video for revolutionary girl Utena or Neon Genesis Evangelion.

I totally agree with all the problems you pointed out, sadly. A big one for me though, which you seem to disagree with, was the audio. There just wasn't enough sometimes or it wasn't that good so I didn't get immersed.

I liked the second half better when it got darker, that made things a little more interesting. But yeah, it was a bit disappointing. Still entertaining enough, and definitely recommend seeing it in a theater (any anime in the theater is great).
