In the next eight minutes, you’ll experience a twenty-five-and-a-half-day mission from roll-out to recovery of the first integrated flight test of NASA’s Orion spacecraft and the Space Launch System rocket, launching from the agency’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This uncrewed mission will be the first in a planned series of exploration missions beyond the moon, signaling what astronauts who dare to operate in deep space will experience on future flights.

Good job nasa, maybe in 1000 years from now you'll actually get a human to plant a flag on mars, and then leave mars right after, just as you did on the moon.

Why Nasa dont look at SPACEX and Elon Musk more, this missions look old and outdated, we need to cooperate a lot more to bring the immense nasa experience and know how to Elon Musk vision of interplanetary species. Doing thing together will take us farther away than doing tree way solo.

Been following the Orion mission since the first video about it. So happy that it's actually becoming a reality, can't wait for it.

Hello N.A.S.A. I am looking forward to seeing the S.L.S and the Orion Spacecraft. Just an idea I thought of, combine the H.I.A.D (Hypersonic Inflatable Aerodynamic Decelerator) to the Orion Spacecraft so you can also have the service module returned and re-used, which will also bring down costs, hopefully. Has anyone looked into this? All the best to you all.

Dear nasa.
This messsage probably have little to no importance to you guys. There is probably a lot of mistakes on it. But I would like to tell you guys my story any way. It can maybe cheer up some people working hard everyday to make our future. I am 19 years old now. I live in Brazil, a country where the government doesn`t care about the people, and where science only thrives in rare ocasions. Ever since I can remenber, I have been amazed with space. When I was 7 years old I wanted to be an astronomer. Ever since then, I`ve been doing my best to try to push myself further in the space journey. 5 years ago I realized that
my generation is going to have the greatest human adventure ahead of us, and I decided I would do my best to be part of it.I have always been the best in my class, and I am currently at college, to become an aeronautical engineer.
Even though I have a passion for rockets and space exploration, that is a future I sadly probably cannot have.
I am a braziliam. My parents are not rich, and I have a lot of other things to worry about in my life, other than following my dreams.
But here is the good part.
I am not going to give up.
If the time comes, and I have the opportunity,, I will go, and I will do my part in taking humanity to the stars.
And there are thousands of others just like me. Just waiting for a chance. We will be here. Looking forward, for the next great steps to come.
I would just like to say thank you. Thank you alot for all of you guys, who give your lives to pushing us forward and to making our dreams come true. We are all whishing you good luck, and sucess in the missions to come, and that one day, we too can be part of this adventure.
Sincerely, a wandering dreamer

Very clear, informative video. Music was a bit off though.

What a waste of money! Producing more garbage in space. For what? No reuse of any components. What did NASA learn from history? Look at spaceX. They have the right concepts. Not NASA and ESA. No space station is planned in low earth orbit for the future. Who needs a station in the moon orbit. Way too expensive to fly to the moon for nothing.

exciting, if the contractors can ever actually get it flying. 8 years now we have been waiting on SLS first launch. Boeing and lockMart have become mediocre with all the cost-plus contacting.

Yes. To Mars via 50 steps. 40 of them unnecessary. Tether spin tests were done in the 60s or 70s. After planning to do them it was achieved within a year. We need to simulate reduced gravity and do it for man, plants, and animal reproduction. Lets get some decent research done
